  1. Slice red onion

  2. Put slices in a colander, sitting in a larger bowl, then pour boiling water over them and let soak for about 1 to 1.5 minutes

  3. 1.5 Cups of hot water

  4. 1.5 Cups of White Vinegar

  5. 2 tablespoons kosher salt

  6. 2 tablespoons sugar

  7. Then mix the above until everything dissolves
